About

Hello to all Tweens, Adolescents and Adults.

I understand how overwhelming life’s challenges can sometimes feel.

Therapy offers you the chance to have expert support, so you can navigate whatever life is currently throwing your way.

I am here to listen to you and support you.

Tweens:

I get that it’s important to be liked by your peers and fit in socially and academically.

I work with tweens to untangle the mystery of social and emotional challenges you face.

Of course, there are other things you just don’t understand. That’s okay; I am here to support you.

I will guide you through the process of learning skills that will enhance your ability to cope with life’s ups and downs.

Adolescents:

Life’s demands are intense with expectations coming at you from every angle. I invite you to let me be part of your support system.

Together we will explore your thoughts and feelings to make them more manageable while addressing your uniqueness.

I will teach you skills to improve your situation, and I’ll help you with any mindset challenges that may currently be holding you hostage.

Adults:

Adults deal with a wide variety of concerns, including work stress, finances, dating or marriage issues, depression, domestic violence, anxiety, and life transitions.

Sometimes there’s benefit in having a neutral person help you explore your thoughts and feelings.

Adults see me to work on current or historical challenges in their lives.

Through therapy I will help you understand the importance of mindset and its effect on your growth and healing.

About Me

My goal is to provide a safe and comfortable environment for you so you can focus on building relationships, enhancing individual growth, and achieving your personal goals.

To me, therapy is a two-way street in that you learn from me while I also learn from you.

I remember my first visit to a therapist…I had that stereotypical picture in my head that I was going to go and lay on the doctor’s couch and talk about my problems. I had no clue what to expect because going to therapy wasn’t discussed in my family.

Of course, my assumptions were all wrong.

Now that I’m a therapist, I take a very laid-back approach with my clients.

When I’m working with tweens and adolescents, we might need to listen to some music for a few minutes before starting session. Or maybe the session will be a game day as we also have a conversation. I’m an UNO Queen!

Often my adult clients are stressed to no end… so let’s begin the session with a grounding exercise. You’d be surprised what a few deep breaths will do.

I became a therapist after many years in education. My first master’s degree was in Higher Education Counseling. I received my second master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy with a minor in school therapy (K-12).

I have numerous credentials for other specialties and services from some impressive places like Harvard.

Enough about me, though. I invite you to call or complete the contact form, so I can learn more about you.
